Established in 1989 with just five members, this embroidery co-operative now provides a good living for over 800 women living in rural areas, who previously had few employment opportunities.

This self-help initiative revived an existing tribal tradition of embroidery onto garments, to create modern, marketable products and artworks.

Each piece from the range is intensively and expertly hand embroidered from an original design, with each artist contributing their own individuality to the colour combinations.
